Happiness Poem

 By Zara Ali

In time of suffrage, we endured

Even in times of distraught, we learned to procure

The discreet delights hidden away

We learned to see vibrance in the shades of gray

In times of ease, we only sought to suffer

We chose to see dullness and nothing other

The prominent elation was always in front

But we remained blind and blunt

Happiness, whether big or small, was always there

We shouldn’t stress the things we can’t bare
