Climate Change Poem

Note: May be politically insensitive to some.

Have you ever heard about Climate Change?

Its wrath is increasing drastically in range

It's the very root of our current trouble

And will leave everything in piles of rubble

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Start riding your bicycle

Stop overusing cars

Or we’ll all be put behind bars

That’s just one way

To start saving the day

So the overwhelming heat and fire

Doesn’t make the situation dire

Many creatures have been victim to a problem we did create

And every animal, even the ones we didn’t hate

Are slowly suffering

And are merely hovering

Over their inescapable fate

A polar bear

Has been caught in a snare

Stranded on a lonely ice floe

With no clue on where it’ll go

It roars in a feeble plea

Stranded at sea

Struggling to stay alive

Let alone thrive

A flower breathes its last breath

As it’s consumed by death

For no rain has come

And is leaving everybody glum

Wildfires are burning brighter

Causing more havoc

The bands of change are growing tighter

Making animals flee in panic

The Earth is getting hotter as we speak

Endangering species by the minute

If we don't adapt, the Earth will be weak

For it has already reached its limit

With too much heat

A lack of rain dries up land

And growing crops is too much of a feat to beat

But food still remains a high demand

Hurricanes are growing stronger

Their range of destruction is getting longer

Children’s joy is depleting

For the heat is becoming despairing

Climate change is a huge issue

That you can’t just get rid of with a tissue

We need everyone's help

To try and restore

Earth, to its former glory once before
